Burglary is a capital case in Rhode Island

The crime of burglary is the breaking and entering of a dwelling with the intent to commit a crime. In order to be convicted of burglary both elements must be proven by the prosecution. If a defendant is convicted of burglary, he or she is facing a maximum sentence up to life in prision.
